The Influence Of Sociocultural Factors On Stunting Incidents (Qualitative Studies In Rural)

Introduction: The problem of stunting that occurs in childhood has an impact on morbidity, mortality, impaired physical growth, mental and cognitive development, affects motor development. disturbances occur tend to be irreversible. direct causes include inadequate nutritional intake infectious diseases. Indirectly can caused by factors such as family food security, parenting style, health environmental services, education, poverty, socio-culture. research aims determine the influence social, economic, cultural incidence Bange village. Method: Qualitative study with a phenomenological approach, total 9 participants. Collecting data conducting in-depth interviews, testing validity reliability was carried out using triangulation method, analyzing thematic analysis. Result: This found several causing stunting, namely use contraception is not optimal, spacing pregnancies too close, pregnancy at young age, implementation clean healthy lifestyle less than lack supplements pregnant women babies knowledge mothers about nutrition during after child born. Social community habits are related economic factors, patterns marriages, pregnancies, family. There no specific culture/culture suspected being cause toddlers.Keywords: social rural,
